The Enterprise School (TES) is a co-ed alternative day school for
behavior problem and/or truant adolescents located in the heart of Fairfax County. TES
simulates a professional business environment to
complement the highly structured, academic and
counseling program. Students (ages 14-18) are given guidance in
accepting responsibilities as if they are employees.
Each student-employee has responsibilities in the areas
of attendance, punctuality, participation, assigned
tasks (homework), and behavior while they are “employed”
at TES. As home and social life affect productivity of
the student “employees” peer and family counseling is a
required aspect of TES. Students also serve internships
in both professional community agencies and business
organizations. Students are compensated according to the
quality of their performance. Eligible students may
participate for one, two, three, or four years.
